We are now offering breakfast and lunch at no cost to all students through the Community Eligibility Provision. Though the traditional meal application will no longer be required, we still need some household data to maintain funding for many staff positions and programs. These include nurses, librarians, instructional assistants, P.E. teachers, Parent Community Liaisons, campus security, after-school programs, sports, music, art, transportation, Chromebooks, iPads, Saturday school, and many others. In addition to providing meals at no charge this year, the Child Nutrition Department has taken several steps to ensure every student has access to a restaurant-quality meal. We now have self-serve salad bars at several of our Magnet Academies offering fresh fruits and vegetables. Our updated elementary menus have more choices, less processed ingredients, and unique international flavor profiles. We even have a food truck!
